WyldWood Stories: BB Speaks Up 1.2

WyldWood Stories: BB Speaks Up represents an innovative addition to the realm of educational gaming, marking the inaugural installment in a series designed to enhance soft skills among children. Players engage in an immersive experience that fosters essential skills such as communication, interpersonal relations, and problem solving, which are critical for self-advocacy and supporting others.

Structured in alignment with the National Teaching Standards for ELA Speaking and Listening, this game provides a robust foundation that can contribute to a meaningful educational journey when integrated with supplementary activities.

The narrative follows BB, a student at WyldWood High School, who is grappling with academic challenges. As BB navigates unique social dynamics, players will assist in integrating a new student, Tucker, into the established social fabric. The choices made will determine the trajectory of BB's experiences: Will Tucker find acceptance within the group? Will BB maintain their friendship with Cass? Ultimately, will BB achieve sufficient grades to attend Space Camp? The outcome hinges on player decisions.

Central to WyldWood Stories is its dialogue-driven interaction model. Each engagement revolves around a character-centric storyline, comprised of various conversations where players select responses at crucial moments. These selections illustrate the application—or lack thereof—of key advocacy behaviors. Feedback is provided upon completion of the game, offering players insights into their performance and encouraging repeated engagement for skill mastery.

This series is developed in collaboration with the Consortium For Public Education (CPE), an organization committed to ensuring that every student graduates from high school equipped with a structured plan addressing fundamental questions about identity and future aspirations.
